This week of campus kitchens was short for me because I had to leave early, but still very eventful. We got there and cleaned ourselves up as usual. We had a little discussion about what we had to work with and came up with a game plan. This week we made mac and cheese with chicken, potatoes and pudding pie. I worked with Martha on the two pudding pies. We had some of that pre-made crust so all we had to do was make the pudding. We were gathering all the things we needed in our little corner of the kitchen when disaster struck. I turned my head just in time to see Martha's pie crust falling to the floor and shatttering into tiny little pieces. At first I was concerned, but then I remembered we had 2 other pie crusts and started to laugh. We spent a good amount of time cleaning up the crumbs that got everywhere and then got to work. We made the pies with no more accidents and they looked really good. Then I helped Gia cut the potatoes. They were purple and yellow, which I thought was odd, but potatoes never seem to be the color I think they should be at Campus Kitchens. After I was done with the potatoes I had to leave for a Campus Kitchens meeting, but I got a lot accomplished for only being there an hour.
