This was my last and favorite day at the soup kitchen-no Fee...it wasn't my favorite BECAUSE it was my last. I really enjoyed it. Everyone seemed so high spirited. The weather was chilly but it was a sunny day. Mabel saw me and gave me a huge hug. Another man shouted out my name and asked me how i was doing. It was nice to know some of them remembered my name. Pete made a joke about Andy and told me to stay in the kitchen while he served him. I felt kinda bad...I met Nancy and Nancy, two older ladies who couldn't be nicer! Jan and Ann told me about the Catholic Church right across the street, where i hope to go next Sunday! Pete kept making wacky noises. The "Mayor," who got the nickname the "Mayor" because he always talks about himself, showed me pictures he had been collecting. I really enjoyed his company, and I could tell he enjoyed mine. He showed me pictures of frank sinatra, elvis presley, several other singers, and old ford cars. There weren't a lot of people today (about 28) so it was mostly bonding time with pete, ann, jan, and the two nancy's. brian and i stayed for lunch again...shepard's pie...my favorite! brian wasn't too "keen" on it HA HA. So anyways, this has been a great experience, and I am positive that I will go back in the spring...when it WARMS up.
